Random thoughts on a Sunday night
- Mowgli got snowboots this weekend. Watching a dog walk in boots for the first time is one of the funnier things in life. I never knew a dog could high-kick.
- You know what happens to the undercarriage of a car in snow and slush? The same thing happens to the undercarriage of a dog. On a related note, is anything better than snuggling with a freshly-bathed dog?
- Two of my favorite things in the world are sushi and wine. Let’s not talk about how much money I spend on seamless sushi, which I enjoy with wine, always. WTF am I going to do when I get pregnant and cannot have sushi or wine for 9.5 months?
- Yesterday BFF and her man came by to take Mowgli to play in the snow and then we were going to go to brunch at Chelsea Market. Mowgli’s tummy was a little (ok, a lot) unhappy, so I asked if we could go to brunch in the neighborhood (Hell’s Kitchen) so I wouldn’t be gone too long. We ran into another friend and her friend from out of town at the restaurant and had an impromptu, hilarious brunch for 5. Settling in to NYC is harder than I thought it would be, but mornings like yesterday make me feel like it will happen, eventually.
- I should be studying for the bar. Instead I am snuggling with Mowgli (and the carcass of his raccoon squeaker mat), drinking red wine, watching football, and waiting for my seamless sushi to arrive.
