Book Recommendations Please?

Thanks to Caitlin and her servicey comment earlier today that the NYPL has Nook books to check out, I am now the proud owner of a NYPL card and able to check out free Nook books.

Give me suggestions of things to read - preferably things that aren’t currently on the best seller list.  I feel like I have read everything.  I recently enjoyed Zone One (a zombie novel by Colson Whitehead) and read, but didn’t love, the Adults by Alison Espach.

Suggest away, please!  I am desperate.  :)
