Does anything smell worse, or look better, than Seche Vite?
Sooo shiny but really, I must be mutating shit over here.
This is apparently now the story of how my Golden Retriever mix and I are adapting to life in NYC. Drop me a note: hotterthanapeppersprout (at) gmail (dot) com

So far it involves painting my nails, drinking wine, returning four pairs of boots (I ordered five pairs of flat boots, free shipping, free returns, to try on at home - and one of them worked and is super comfortable. As much as I love shoes, I did not own good walk to and from the train shoes for an NYC winter, and so far these boots are filling that need. AND they are weatherproof, but leather).
There will be a seamless sushi order in my future, and I just started watching Red (the movie where Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, and Helen Mirren play ex-CIA agents who know too much).
Anyone notice what’s missing?
I have a Sephora gift card from my buddy burning a hole in my pocket. Do I want the Naked palette, or Naked 2? I have dark brown eyes, dark brown hair, and very pale skin (although I get an impressive tan going on in the summer - impressive considering how pale I am naturally, that is) if coloring makes a difference.
Buddy,
Thank you so much for the incredibly generous Sephora gift certificate you sent! Sephora has long been a happy place for me and I’m so excited to go pick something out.
The big question - do I get the Naked palette? The Bumble and Bumble shine shampoo and conditioner I have been coveting? A face mask to pamper myself with while I study for the bar? The possibilities are endless! :)
Consumed in the Sprout household last night: Bufala Negras.
I discovered this drink at one of my favorite places in Atlanta, H. Harper Station. It’s a converted railroad station with exposed brick, dark wood beams, navy chairs, all sorts of unique lighting and decor, an extensive bourbon menu, amazing cuisine, and outstanding mixed drinks.
A Bufala Negra is essentially bourbon, sugar, balsamic vinegar, basil, and ginger beer. And it is delicious.
